Journey of Hope: From Addiction to Freedom

We have 4 phases with specific goals that must be met. This is a short list and does cover everything we do but will give you an idea of how we work with them.

Phase 1 - Orientation

During the orientation phase, participants learn about the program and its expectations. They do not work in this period while we pour into them. We help them get driver’s license or state ID, birth certificates, Social Security cards and whatever else they will need for employment. 2 weeks in they begin to look for work and at 30 days they are required to be working. Of course, we understand that it takes a little longer for some due to their backgrounds.

Phase 2 - Financial Stability

This phase of the program focuses on establishment of gain full employment and banking/savings account. Once working, participants are responsible for paying a $200 weekly fee to cover program expenses such as accommodation, meals, transportation to and from work, and access to medical and legal appointments. Additionally, participants open bank accounts to receive support in budgeting and paying off fines. Each participant is also paired with a mentor. The primary goal in this phase is for participants to save enough funds to purchase a car, provided there are no outstanding legal impediments.

Phase 3 - Saving for Future

In Phase 3 of our program, "Saving for Future,"our participants focus on building their savings for housing and utilities. Our goal during this phase is to help them save enough money for their first and last month’s rent, as well as deposits on utilities, once they acquire a car. While most of the women are able to achieve this independently, we are also prepared to offer assistance to community resources for those who may require it. It is our mission to empower these individuals to become self-sufficient, and we are committed to providing support where it is needed.

Phase 4 - Reintegration

Phase 4, Reintegration, is a crucial step in recovery. During this phase, our focus is on helping participants find a home and successfully carry out their exit plan. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we are able to gather donations of essential home items such as beds, kitchen supplies, toiletries, and linens. We then celebrate their new beginning with a housewarming party where we present these gifts. Our volunteer base is truly exceptional, and their efforts ensure that our program participants leave with the necessities they need to start their new lives. Our commitment to providing a supportive and nurturing environment is unwavering, and it's a privilege to witness the positive impact on these individuals.
